Okay, Biebermaniacs, please try to remain calm during the second half of this sentence: Justin Bieber was hospitalized on Wednesday. Okay -- everybody still breathing? Good, because there's no need for concern; the 16-year-old pop sensation was released just 30 minutes after being rushed to the hospital.
Here's what happened, according to Life & Style: Bieber was shooting scenes for his next appearance on CSI when he suffered an allergic reaction and had difficulty breathing. His doctor met him at the hospital and he was discharged in less than an hour. Since the reaction hit at the end of the day, Bieber's hospital trip didn't even affect the shooting schedule. (Though we have to wonder: what kind of allergy would have that kind of extreme reaction? An undisclosed food allergy, maybe? Any thoughts, readers?)
Bieber didn't seem too concerned about the incident, if his Twitter account is any indication: he spent the evening tweeting "epic questions" to fans like "If you could be the greatest athlete or entertainer which would u be?" and "the toughest question of the night: fresh sheets or fresh socks?"
The Biebs does seem a little stressed out lately, but it's over another issue entirely: the constant speculation about his love life. In a recent interview with the British magazine Heat, Bieber refused to respond to questions about whether he was dating Disney starlet Selena Gomez.
"I think that question is just asked way too much," he responded, when pushed to admit he had a girlfriend. "I'm not going to be able to have a personal life if I keep being asked that question. I'm not answering that question ever again... Can we talk about my books and my movie and stuff?"
Maybe Bieber needs to take a bit of a break from his fast-moving fame? He can't stop quite yet, though -- he's scheduled to present at Sunday's Golden Globes alongside 14-year-old True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld.
