Demi Lovato has been released from rehab, where she was undergoing treatment for emotional issues. The 18-year-old actress is back in Los Angeles and is looking to get on with her life.
"She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment," a source told People.com. "For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon."
As for her Disney show, Sonny With a Chance, well, it's future is still up in the air. An insider says, "Demi will continue to focus first and foremost on her well-being."
Lovato went in for treatment in October, after she had a physical fight with backup dancer Alex Welch on The Jonas Brothers World Tour.
Earlier this month, Lovato paid tribute to her fans for having her back through the trying time.
"I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time," Lovato wrote on her Facebook page. "Thank you for standing beside me through it all."

If fans were expecting hip-hop sexpot Nicki Minaj to vamp it up in her first "Saturday Night Live" skit, they definitely got an unexpected eyeful of the rap diva being, well, super creepy.
Minaj popped up in an Andy Samberg-helmed digital short, dressed as a socially awkward, throwback nerd -- big glasses, blonde ponytail and cardigan -- for the ode of voyeurism "Do the Creep."
Legendary filmmaker and kitsch enthusiast John Waters introduced the song via an old-school television screen, and Samberg, sporting a snug suit, spectacles and skinny mustache reminiscent of Waters' signature facial fuzz, led a trio of similarly dressed crooners. The crew celebrated inappropriate peeping moments, belting, "When a fine PYT walks in front of your tree, do the creep," and crooned about watching their parents get it on.
Nicki showed up midway through the jam in her dork garb and spit about watching guys in a locker room take it all off, rhyming that while she was "ogling ... little did they know that they were modeling." Nicki later showed off a penchant for necrophilia by trying to make out with a corpse at a funeral, and then instructed viewers on how to do properly "creep," singing, "Get your knees flexing and your arms t-rexing."
Minaj did show off her voluptuous side when she popped up in a fake blaxpoitation flick, "Bride of Blackenstein," alongside Jay Pharoah as an evil scientist, Kenan Thompson as Frankenstein and host Jesse Eisenberg as the hunchbacked assistant. When the doctor unveiled his creation, she captivated the fellas with her rotund behind, as Eisenberg quipped "That's why you had me fill those basketballs with Jell-O!" But she quickly made it clear that she has an attitude to match her assets, batting away Frankenstein's advances with "You think you can just walk up on me and get some of this?" After she officially staked her claim to the castle and insisted her new man stay at home, the townspeople stormed the dungeon but were quickly diverted by a wiggle of Minaj's mega-booty.
When Minaj recently spoke to MTV News about her "SNL" appearance, the native New Yorker admitted she was amped to appear on the iconic sketch show.
"Being a part of 'Saturday Night Live' feels absolutely incredible. I still don't even believe it's true, I'm not even going to believe it's really happening until — well, I'm going to DVR it, because I can't watch it, because I'll be on it," she said. "But until I see it back on DVR, I'm not even going to believe I was really on the show. This is epic, this is monumental, this is historic stuff."
What did you think of Nicki Minaj's "SNL" sketches? Let us know in the comments!

Armie Hammer tells MTV News at the SAG Awards it was 'funny' to see Eisenberg onstage with Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg.

Oscar front-runner "The Social Network" didn't exactly paint the most flattering picture of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, but the young billionaire proved he can take a joke when he turned up alongside Jesse Eisenberg on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
Facebook's CEO wasn't the only one who watched Eisenberg host "SNL."
"I saw the whole episode! I thought it was great!" exclaimed "Social Network" co-star Armie Hammer when MTV News caught up with him at the 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 30). Thanks to director Darren Aronofsky and some subtle special effects, Hammer portrayed both Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the athletic Harvard twins who hired Zuckerberg to create a social-networking site and later sued him for millions. "It was so funny to see [Jesse] and Mark [together]."
Hammer was at the Director's Guild Awards on Saturday when he received a picture to his phone of the pair standing onstage together in Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the famous location where "SNL" has taped since 1975. Hammer said he did a double-take.
"I was like, 'What the hell?' " he recalled with a broad smile. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh! It's the two of them!' "
Zuckerberg has expressed reservations about some aspects of the movie, which won the award for Best Drama at the Golden Globes earlier this month. The movie also nabbed awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Composer (Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor with Atticus Ross) and Best Adapted Screenplay (Aaron Sorkin) at the 16th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards.
Fincher, Sorkin and the cast have acknowledged that the movie is a somewhat fictionalized account of the rise of the omnipresent website: a true-life tale that severed friendships and has been the subject of many lawsuits between former co-workers who claim they were unfairly stiffed of their piece of the pie.
The Academy Awards has 10 Best Picture nominees: "Black Swan," "The Fighter," "Inception," "The Kids Are All Right," "The King's Speech," "127 Hours," "Toy Story 3," "True Grit," "Winter's Bone" and "The Social Network." Most pundits predict a hotly contested race between "the Facebook movie" and "The King's Speech," which took the best film ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as the best actor prize for its lead, Colin Firth.

Beyoncé Knowles is headed back to the big screen and into the familiar territory of playing an aspiring singer-turned-superstar. According to Deadline, Knowles will star in a remake of "A Star Is Born," to be directed and produced by Oscar winner Clint Eastwood for Warner Bros.
The remake will be the fourth telling of the "A Star Is Born" tale, the most memorable in recent years being the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson as star-crossed lovers of sorts. It is also worth mentioning that the producers of that film, Billy Gerber and Jon Peters, are also attached to this new project. It is said to be a full-on musical with production set to begin sometime in the fall.
Naturally, the plot details are under wraps, but the original story revolves around an aspiring singer who meets and falls in love with a troubled, failing former star who helps get the young ingénue her big break in the business.
No announcements have been made with regard to the male lead, but the report mentioned that major names like Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Hamm have been floated around.
It's definitely an interesting step for Knowles but not necessarily a surprise, given the fact that the majority of her film roles have been as singers ("Cadillac Records," "Dreamgirls," "The Fighting Temptations"). While many thought "Dreamgirls" would bring awards recognition for Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson's supporting role ended up garnering the most attention. With Oscar fave Eastwood at the helm of this new project, Knowles could be in line for some hardware yet.

'I've had an awesome time shooting this movie,' actress/singer says in video message to fans.

Miley Cyrus

Considering she spent years playing a girl who led two lives on "Hannah Montana," Miley Cyrus' upcoming role as an FBI agent who goes "So Undercover" at a college sorority should be an easy transition. Miley recently took to YouTube to update fans on all the fun she had shooting the comedy/action flick. She even spilled the beans on a special actor who joined the movie's "entourage" for a cameo.
" 'Sup guys? It's Miley in my trailer hanging out on the set of 'So Undercover,' " she told fans in the video. "This is actually our last week and a half, which is crazy."
So, what sort of antics have Miley and the cast, including Kelly Osbourne, been up to on the set? "I can't believe how quick it's gone," she said. "We had a really good time. We actually just had a wrap party because the girls are leaving 'cause now it's getting into the relationship of me and my dad. So all the sorority scenes are coming to an end, so all my girls are leaving me.
"We've been working so hard," she continued. "Literally, I'm in every scene except one or two, so we've been here working really long hours. It was nice to have a night just to be able to hang out, all the crew and all the cast, to be able to hang out as friends, not in just a work environment."
That cast includes Jeremy Piven, who apparently has a secret part in the flick. "They let me and Jeremy Piven, who plays one of our characters ... can't tell you who, I'm not allowed. But Jeremy's in this movie, and so he got up on the drums and we played 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll.' "
Bottom line, although the film has been a lot of hard work, Miley thinks it's all been worth it. "I've had an awesome time shooting this movie," she said. "I'm excited for you guys to see it, really digging it. I wanted to tell you guys I love you ... peace."

Teen wows the judges with her strong voice.
By Gil Kaufman
No pressure, Nashville, but the biggest "American Idol" winner in the show's history, Carrie Underwood, just happens to live in Music City. That was the not-so-subtle message "Idol" producers opened the show with on Thursday night (January 27) when our new favorite judging trio sat behind their desk in the legendary Ryman Auditorium to see what they could find in the home of country music.
By the time they got up, they felt like they might have found a winner in a 15-year-old country girl with a voice as big as all outdoors.
But things did not get off to a very good start thanks to helium-voiced chicken squawker Christine McCaffrey, a not-quite-there dental assistant from West Palm Beach, Florida, who butchered one of J.Lo's favorite songs, Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance." All Randy Jackson could keep saying was, "Really? Really?"
In past seasons, we've had twins, best friends, brothers and sisters, but Thursday night's show brought us our first auditioning exes. Aspiring singers and former couple Rob Bolin and Chelsee Oaks made beautiful music together, singing a flawless duet on the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody."
"You were one voice," a pleasantly surprised Steven Tyler told them. "Sometimes passion comes from friction, and I saw how much in love you were." Restaurant worker Bolin, 23, showed off his deliciously raspy Ray LaMontagne-style chops on Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," while waitress Oaks, 23, was equally impressive with a rich run through Brandi Carlile's "The Story." Both made it through, so Hollywood Week should be interesting.
Amid the great ones, there were philosophical, Lynyrd Skynyrd-lovin', thick-as-a-brick tattoo artists, a screechy Chaka Khan killer, a kid in a blue bodysuit and a soulful former Miss Teen USA named Stormi (yes, with an "I") who got through over Lopez's objections about her "small" voice.
And then there was 27-year-old Wickliffe, Kentucky, student Adrienne Beasley. Her inspiring story was solid — she was adopted by a white family at age 2 and raised on a farm — but her singing was even better, mixing a hint of R&B grit and country twang on Lady Antebellum's "American Honey."
"I hear something so special in your voice, and I can't put my finger on it right now," said Tyler, who was close to tears after the performance. The real showstopper, though, was self-proclaimed recording artist and already-a-star Latoya "Younique" Moore, a 26-year-old who made up in sass what she lacked in vocal skills.
Her tone-deaf slaughter of Tamia's "When I Close My Eyes" was a disaster, and Tyler was kind when he joked it was "definitely unique." Randy was more blunt, calling it annoying and making a high-pitched buzzing-bee sound while breaking the bad news. But Moore wasn't done, as she sang her way out the door, hoping for one last chance, thinking perhaps it was just her tempo that was off and not everything else.
A succession of fellas knocked it out later in the day, showing off some ear-licious deep-fried soul and grit that got the judges excited. Matt Dillard's story was very inspirational, coming from a family that had housed more than 700 special-needs foster children over the past two decades. The brawny, cowboy-hat-wearing 27-year-old unemployed Tennessee good ol' boy surprised the panel with his low-key cover of Josh Groban's popera hit "You Raise Me Up."
Lopez wasn't swayed, but Tyler agreed with Jackson that it was worth taking a chance on Dillard.
Talk about saving the best for last! The judges were sure they found a potential winner in Rossville, Georgia, spunky 15-year-old Lauren Alaina, who cited her cancer-survivor cousin as the inspiration for her singing. And when she opened her mouth and poured out Faith Hill's "Like We Never Loved at All," the air went out of the room as her smoky voice wrapped around the ballad and hit all the high, low and in-between notes like a seasoned pro.
"Best we've seen today ... I'm blown away," Randy said. "I think you should cry," Tyler added as Alaina began to mist up. "Because you're going to make 40 million people cry tears of joy, baby."
She put some icing on the cake after she brought in her family and instructed Tyler to duet with her on his "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," her parents' favorite song.
It's on to Austin, Texas, next week and two more nights of auditions.

Singer cancels kick off date of European leg of his OMG Tour due to illness.

Usher was forced to delay the kick off of his European OMG Tour on Wednesday night in Berlin because of illness. In a statement released to fans, the singer apologized for the last-minute scratch, saying he felt he was suffering from a "sinus complication." Although the gig was rescheduled for Thursday night at the O2 World arena in Berlin, his German fans apparently weren't appeased by his effort.
"I am truly sorry to all my fans in Berlin who were inconvenienced by tonight's postponement of the show," the singer said in a statement about Wednesday's aborted concert. "I was ill and felt that I would not have been able to give them the show that they properly deserve. ... I am looking forward to performing tomorrow and giving Berliners a great show."
According to the statement, the singer received treatment from doctors for a sinus issue that affected his balance, but a visibly still-ailing Usher was unable to finish the Thursday make-up show, reportedly abandoning the stage after just five songs.
On Friday (January 14), a follow-up statement from his spokesperson confirmed that he was too ill to play Thursday night's Berlin date and has been forced to reschedule the next three dates on the tour as well. The Rotterdam show originally scheduled for this week has been moved to March 1 and a show in Antwerp, also slated for this week, has been bumped to March 7.
The statement also updated the singer's condition: "Usher is suffering from upper respiratory illness, which is currently preventing him from performing a proper show. After consultation with doctors, he has been advised to reschedule the upcoming dates in order to get the rest he needs to ensure a complete recovery."
Footage posted on YouTube that was purportedly taken at the make-up performance in Berlin shows Usher standing silently at the microphone seemingly unable to sing, with fans booing him at first and then chanting, "Usher, Usher," as he approaches the microphone and apologizes to them for his struggles. "I appreciate your support," he told the fans wearily.
"I have been very excited about my European Tour and I deeply regret having to reschedule the shows," the singer said in the new statement. "I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I have caused my fans. My fans are the best in the world and I am looking forward to getting better so that I can give them the show they deserve."
Usher wrapped up the North American leg of his tour in December and his overseas dates are slated to last through the spring.
What do you think of the fans' reaction to Usher's walking offstage mid-show? Tell us in the comments.

Need proof that Ashton Kutcher gets along with his stepdaughters? He's always singing their praises in interviews -- and now he's actually singing with one of them!
Demi Moore's 32-year-old hubby and his 19-year-old stepdaughter Scout Willis co-wrote and performed an adorable duet for their YouTube fans. Kutcher plays guitar and sings back-up as Moore and Bruce Willis’ middle daughter sweetly sings a folksy tune called "My Sober."
The No Strings Attached star married Scout’s mom in 2005, and (despite cheating rumors in September 2010) they've stayed strong. And Kutcher also maintains a close relationship with his Moore's family, which includes her daughters Rumer, 22, Scout, 19, Tallulah, 16, and the girls’ father and Demi’s ex-husband Bruce Willis. The actor told iVillage that despite being 11 years younger than Demi, he’s still very much a "disciplinarian dad" and isn’t afraid to set guidelines for the girls.
Fortunately, he looks like he can be a pretty fun stepdad, too! Check out Ashton and Scout’s duet below.

Prosecutor thinks Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers will say Jackson self-administered lethal dose of propofol.

More than 19 months after Michael Jackson's shocking death at the age of 50, the only person charged in the case, the singer's former personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, is due in court next week. And, according to a Reuters report, Murray's lawyers plan to defend Murray against a charge of involuntary manslaughter by claiming that the pop icon killed himself when he self-administered a large dose of propofol, a surgical anesthetic Jackson used as a sleep aid to combat chronic insomnia.
Murray has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of involuntary manslaughter and has admitted to giving Jackson propofol. Murray's lawyers have said the physician did not administer any drugs that "should have" caused Jackson's death. The investigation into his death was lengthy, lasting more than eight months, after which Los Angeles prosecutors charged that Murray gave the King of Pop a lethal combination of propofol and other painkillers and sedatives in the hours before the singer was found dead in his rented Los Angeles mansion on June 25, 2009. Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
Reuters reported that in a Wednesday court session to discuss evidence in the case against Murray, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said he thinks that the doctor's attorneys appear to be preparing a defense claiming that Jackson self-administered the lethal dose while Murray was out of the room.
Murray's attorney would not respond to questions about Walgren's statements. Murray's trial is slated to begin on January 4 with a preliminary hearing that will determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to a full trial. Prosecutors and defense attorneys said they expect the preliminary hearing to take around two weeks.

Single debuts at #1 and breaks Taylor Swift's previous sales record.

Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me"

Don't hold it against her, but Britney Spears has a hit on her hands. Her new track, "Hold It Against Me," which was released last week, topped the Billboard Digital Songs chart.
The Dr.Luke/ Max Martin-produced song, the lead single from the singer's yet-untitled March album, sold 411,000 downloads in its first week available for purchase. The debut also means that Spears broke a record. According to Billboard, that is Spears' best sales week for a digital song as well as the largest debut for a woman as a lead artist. She beat out the record previously held by Taylor Swift. In February, Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" sold 325,000 downloads; incidentally, Swift broke the record previously held by Spears when that track debuted at the top of the charts.
Spears bumps Bruno Mars' "Grenade" to #2; Wiz Khalifa moved up the chart to #3 with "Black and Yellow," followed by Katy Perry's "Firework," which dropped two spots to #4. Other newcomers to the chart include Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell" at #6 and Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaboration, "H.A.M.," at #10. Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" (#5), the Black Eyed Peas' "The Time (Dirty Bit)" (#7), Lil Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot" (#8) and Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" (#9) round out the top 10.
Spears is also the top seller on iTunes. Last week, when the song was released, Spears immediately jumped to the top of the iTunes charts in 16 countries. "This is absolutely incredible!" her manager Adam Leber tweeted last week about the song's success. "Brit's fans never cease to amaze me."

Raising Sand, from Led Zeppelin vet and bluegrass superstar, wins five Grammys on Sunday night.

Alison Krauss and Robert Plant accept the award for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on Sunday

"I'm bewildered," Robert Plant said onstage as he accepted the Grammy Album of the Year award with Alison Krauss on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."
He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because Raising Sand, which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect Grammy album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.
You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his Led Zeppelin days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.
Really, she's the key to Sand's success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, Sand was released.
And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.
And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on Sand. His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.
To date, Sand has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.
One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album.
"At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" New York Times music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really good record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards."

Cannibal singer throws sexy, dark dance party in just-released clip.

In the video for her first Cannibal single, Ke$ha wants everyone to know "We R Who We R.". Flashing lights open the video as Ke$ha, in a high ponytail and body-hugging sparkly leotard, and her crew roll through a tunnel as a fire burns in the background. The singer promised explosions, and she delivered.
As she makes her way through the tunnel, a close-up shot of the singer reveals another eye-catching look: eyebrows complete with actual studs, and her makeup as glittery as ever. Cars zoom by as the crew hangs in the tunnel, continuing on their way to a party.
When they arrive, Revolucion tequila is on full display at a post-apocalyptic rave. Apparently, Ke$ha has now hit the product-placement stage of her career, a move made by Lady Gaga in several of her most-recent clips, notably, "Telephone."
Ke$ha parties it up with her people while the two female DJs scope out dating site Plenty of Fish, which also made an appearance in Gaga's "Bad Romance" clip around this time last year.
Mid-party, Ke$ha changes her garb. She is now draped in an American-flag top and sparkly hot-pink hot pants, and is partying so hard, she stage dives off a roof. Luckily, the crowd below catches her. The video closes with a smiling Ke$ha dancing her heart out, proclaiming proudly that "We R Who We R."
While Ke$ha has relied on comedy in many of her past clips, her latest is darker and sexier than the girl who flipped off her parents in the "Tik Tok" video, something she shared with MTV News a few weeks ago.
"This video is a little bit 'sexy time.' I'm not gonna lie: It may induce a boner or two," Ke$ha said, laughing. "I'm not sure, [you'll have to] report back. But I'm hoping for at least one."
She tweeted Wednesday about the video's premiere, writing, "Hot and dangerous!!! Brand spankin new videoooooo for We R Who We R!!!"
